Boehner Facing Dissent and Defections in Vote to Remain Speaker of House

This article focuses on some of the recent weaknesses within the Republican party, as well as Speaker Boehner's reelection last week. The author talks a lot about how having control of the House and the Senate should make it an easy election, but Boehner's support has wavered leaving him with a lack of votes. Some Republican scandals are brought up, such as Steve Scalise's speech to white supremacists back in 2002, to further show how the Republican party is lacking in control and power. From there Boehner's continued lack in support and numbers is brought up, and the loss in votes is referenced once again. After that, the article continues to talk about what the weaknesses of the Republican party are and how they need to gain control of their leaders to create a better government.
